Naeba is located in Niigata prefecture, 2 hours from Tokyo. The resort has held the worldcup in 1973, 1975 and will hold one again in 2016. At the base of the ski resort is the ski-in ski-out Naeba Prince Hotel, which has variety of dining facilities. In the village area nearby, there are also plenty of dining options.

Naeba ski resort is linked via the Japan's longest gondola to Kagura ski resort. Naeba area is great for all levels and especially families as the resort is wide and easy to work out. Kagura area is bigger consisting three ski resorts; Tashiro, Kagura, Mitsumata and tends to have more snow. There is a gate at the peak and a guided backcountry tour is available here. At the bottom of the Tashiro resort is Tashiro Lake. You can admire the view from Tashiro Pair Lift No.6 and also from the Sancho station of Tashiro ropeway.

Built in the Japanese bubble era, Naeba offers plenty of sophistication. The ski-in/ski-out Naeba Prince Hotel is the highlight of the village offering a great range of restaurants and facilities. While the Prince does offer everything that you will need, there is a small variety of traditional style restaurants a short walk away.
