FOUR MOUNTAIN SPORTS

At Aspen Snowmass, equipment rental is a pleasure – the experience gives you not just skis, boots and gear, but improved performance, some sound advice, and a great big smile.

Four Mountain Sports is the only outfitter with convenient locations at the base of all four mountains, each of them stocked with the latest and greatest equipment, and apparel that’s not only functional but fashionable. The staff knows the equipment, and they’ll fit you not only for size and skill but for the terrain you’ll be tackling.

Four Mountain Sports offers nine locations in and around Aspen Snowmass, which give you several advantages. For instance, you could rent your skis at our Aspen location, and two days later swap them out for powder skis at Snowmass to better suit conditions. And if you want to ski Aspen Highlands or Buttermilk on your last day, take advantage of our free ski storage and transfer service, and have your skis delivered to the mountain of your choice.

FREE EQUIPMENT TRANSFER & STORAGE

There are four mountains and to ensure you enjoy your trips between them all Four Mountain Sports offer free storage and transfer for all rentals. Just drop your gear at one of the many corrals at the end of your day, and pick it up at the mountain of your choice in the morning.

So much can be gained by spending time with experienced Pros on the mountain. Confidence, guidance, friendship, wonder.

From personalised guidance for you and your friends or family, to instruction for all ages in a group lesson, our team will help you improve your technique and make your days on the slopes more enjoyable.

Private lessons & Guides

In private lessons you will receive one-on-one attention. Your Pro will also act as your very own mountain guide, leading you to best terrain on the mountain. Private lessons with family and friends of up to 5 people are also available.

Group lessons

Group lessons are excellent for building up your confidence on the slopes and camaraderie with new friends. The dedicated Pros make sure that everyone is learning new skills to match their ability, all while maintaining a friendly and fun environment.

Which mountain?

All four of our mountains have a unique character to them, and because of this, they offer unique learning opportunities for guests.

Snowmass offers an abundance of lessons options suiting skiers and riders of all abilities. The terrain is ideally suited for all lesson types, giving our Pros great flexibility to take group and private lessons to the right runs to suit your comfort level. This is the ideal family-friendly mountain because — whatever skiing or riding abilities you have within your group — there is terrain (and a lesson) here for each of you.

Aspen Mountain is a famous for a reason: its terrain is unique and quite challenging. Since there isn’t a single beginner run on the mountain, the Aspen Snowmass Ski & Snowboard School does not offer beginner lessons of any kind on the mountain.

Aspen Highlands is for an intermediate-to-expert coaching/guided experience that will take your skiing or riding skills to the next level. The unique terrain and conditions of Aspen Highlands offer guests a special opportunity to find out what big-mountain skiing is all about. Under the guidance of our highly experienced Pros, you will learn the special techniques and tactics needed to handle steep terrain and quickly changing snow conditions. Due to terrain, beginner lessons are not available at Aspen Highlands.

Buttermilk is known as one of the best beginner mountains in North America, Buttermilk takes the intimidation out of learning to ski or snowboard. Plus, our base area now includes The Hideout — an integrated play-and-learning area for children in ski school ages 2 ½ to 6 years old, which serves as the perfect stepping-stone into the sport for little ones. But that’s not to say that intermediate and advanced skiers and riders should pass it over. Build your confidence with a group or private lesson on Buttermilk's stellar blue and black terrain, such as the beautiful glades and groomers in off the Tiehack Express Lift.
