Managed and owned by the ski resort, Madarao Kogen Hotel provides an exceptional ski in ski out location perched over the front valley. The Hotel has a variety of western and Japanese style rooms all with ensuite facilities. Three restaurants are on premises plus an excellent Onsen (natural spring water).
Located at the base of Mt. Madarao, Madarao Kogen Hotel is the main hub of the ski resort. The exceptional snow quality is unique to this area of Japan and is well known for its snow depth. Due to its location, surrounded by the mountains of Madarao, Kurohime, Togakushi, Iizuna and Myoko at heights of 1,000 to 2,000 metres, and situated to the south of Lakes Nojiri and Nozomi, the area receives consistent falls of light, dry powder snow. This makes for a perfect powder season, and a special place for winter sports enthusiasts!
The hotel offers an abundance of quality facilities including restaurants, a bar, karaoke room, lounge, open-air baths, large onsen bath, sauna bath, arcade games room, WiFi access, 3a shop and a shared laundry. The Madarao Kogen Hotel springs are the only natural hot spring in Madarao Highlands. It draws water from 600 metres underground, which boasts many unique qualities. The sodium-calcium chloride spring is also good for muscle aches, cold constitution, and tiredness. It will make you relaxed and comfortable, especially if you are extremely exhausted or cold after a full day activities.
Madara Kogen Hotel offers a collection of quality rooms suitable for 1-4 guests. Most rooms features an ensuite with bath and toilet, TV, phone, sitting area and tea facilities. The western rooms offer two single beds and two sofa beds sleeping up to 4. The Japanese rooms with tatami flooring can fit 4 futons, this room does not have an ensuite. The western-Japanese combination room features western twin beds with a Japanese style sitting area with tatami flooring.
