Shiga Kogen offers a range of hotels spread out to suit all budgets. You will find a good variety of restaurants, bars and shops within the hotels. At night, getting around the villages isn't as easy so selecting a restaurant close by to your accommodation may be the best option. As with may Japanese ski resorts, there isn't really much in the way of nightlife.

Shiga Kogen is the closest ski resort to the Snow Monkeys. Be sure to plan a visit to see them during your stay. You may be lucky enough to see some while skiing.
